Adopt A Plant
The Elon Community Garden is a hub for sustainable gardening in the local community. We believe that everyone should have access to fresh, locally grown produce and the knowledge to grow it themselves. Our plant adoption sale is just one of the many ways we strive to make sustainable gardening accessible to all. All donations go directly to the Elon Community Garden to Support our efforts!

Plant Highlights
Here is a sneak peak of our unique plants for adoption!
Drama Queen Poppy
Flower

The bees were on their knees & so were we: As she flowers, bees love to swim in the small ocean of pollen-laden anthers inside the Drama Queen Poppy. It’s magic. This vibrant red flower begins to bloom around spring and early summer. She grows to about 3 inches and gently reseeds herself.
Buffy "The Vampire" Pepper
Pepper
Will this Buffy fend off blood-sucking vampires? Although we are not sure about that we are sure that they produce a good yield of juicy thick-walled green to red fruits on strong, healthy upright plants. This pepper is not as hot as other Thai peppers and sits at 500,000 Scoville units. The Buffy f1 is larger than most hot peppers with 2 inch peppers and can grow to about 28 inches tall. You can use these peppers fresh or dried or ground into a spice! Each plant produces from 250-280 peppers.
Berkeley Tie-Dye
Tomato
The Berkeley Tie Dye display's a stunning array of colors resembling tie-dye, giving them a unique and attractive appearance. They offer a delightful blend of sweet and tangy flavors with hints of fruity undertones. They are juicy and succulent, making them perfect for fresh eating or adding to salads.
